Decla.fr is France's leading platform for filing LMNP and SCI tax declarations online, in a few clicks. Brand Appart redesigned its UX, UI and SaaS website design, rebuilding the experience around the person actually filing.
A tax declaration isn't a feature. It's a moment of doubt, and the interface either absorbs that doubt or amplifies it. So the engagement started as product design work, not decoration: focused workshops on the business, the goals and the real user pain points, then a scalable design system to carry the answers across every screen of the platform.
The challenge
A process people dread
LMNP and SCI declarations are among the tax filings French property owners fear most. Decla.fr's whole promise is turning that complexity into a few clicks, which means every screen has to feel simpler than the thing it replaces.
Competing with a human
The platform positions itself as the modern alternative to traditional accounting. That is a trust transfer: reassurance people normally get from an accountant across a desk now has to come from an interface.
Redesigning what already leads
Decla.fr was not a blank page. It was the leading platform in its category, with users relying on it. The redesign had to convert and reassure without disorienting the people already filing.

We redesigned the platform end to end: product design, UI/UX design, interface design and web design, with a Creative Director, Brand Designer, Product Designer and Web Designer on the project.
Underneath it all sits a scalable design system. Not a set of screens, a set of rules: the platform can evolve as needs grow without each new feature reopening the design debate.
Result
Simpler than an accountant. And it feels that way.
Decla.fr now reads as what it is: a modern, user-friendly alternative to traditional accounting, with efficiency and clarity at every step of the filing flow. In the founder's words, experiences that convert, reassure and simplify.
